Speaker Stand for Benchmark SMS1 Speakers

These top-quality speaker stands provide an ideal base for the Benchmark SMS1 monitors. These stands offer unparalleled innovation, acoustic performance and strength, while blending beautifully with the SMS1 in home or studio applications.

These high-tech stands features non-slip, high-density acoustic foam, a multistage isolation system, and feet that adapt to hard or soft floor surfaces. The cast aluminum base provides stable support while the black-anodized extruded-aluminum column offers an internal cable management channel and an internal ballast channel. Add shot or sand ballast to tighten up the bass, improve stereo imaging, and reduce the undesirable transmission of bass frequencies to the floor.

Sonic Isolation and Decoupling

From top to bottom these stands feature sonic isolation and decoupling components. Four non-marring sound decoupling pads provide the first stage of isolation. Two additional rubber decouplers between the column and the top/bottom plates add to the isolation system. At the heavy cast-aluminum base three spike feet include removable rubber isolation pads to adapt to bare or carpeted floors.

Three Internal Channels for Cable and Weight Management

Three internal channels run the length of the column. Two channels are designed for audio or audio and power. For additional stability, the larger channel can be filled with shot or sand. If your are using SpeakOn connected cables, these channels can be reversed to allow space for larger connectors. This reversal still allows the same space for ballast while providing a large single channel for the speaker cable.
